Pickup reservations for this auction will be available: Is it too much of a giant leap to presume that this is the same Józefa Rutkowska as above (married to Piotr Rutkowski and having her own children) nee Blados, and possibly Rozalia's aunt or some other relation? I doubt I could confirm it because the records don't exist?!? It would be so much easier if they did list grandparents.Scheduled pickup appointments are required and must be scheduled through your invoice. The Geneteka database brings these up when I search for Blados in births:ġ1đ894 65 Stanisława Rutkowska Piotr JózefaěladosĜzerwonka ġ2đ891 69 Antoni Rutkowski Piotr JózefaěladosĜzerwonka ġ3đ889 79 Franciszek Rutkowski Piotr JózefaěladosĜzerwonka ġ4đ888 51 Józef Rutkowski Piotr Józefaěladosz BladosĜzerwonka [AP Warszawa oddział ![]() I noticed that you said that Rozalia's godmother was Józefa Rutkowska. Thank you for that advice! But the Russian just looks like squiggles to me. So, does this mean I can't do anything more with my grandmother's side of the family? There is a massive gap between the 1770s and 1891!! Surely they has to be some kind of records that survived somewhere? Hoping for a miracle! I have spoken to the Parish priest of Czerwonka, who says that a large number of records were destroyed during the war and he was unable to help. The LDS have intermittent records from the 1680s for Czerwonka, with births cutting out some time in the 1770s, the others around 1803. I haven't found any kind of records there for that time period. However, his likely year of birth is 1881 and his parents are Józef Wasielewski and Rozalia Mróz. The USC says that his place of birth was listed as Prycanowo, which is close by, but falls under the parish of Różan. I know Rozalia was born in 1891 and her parents were Franciszek Blados and Marianna Szwejkowska (although, I think it could just be Szwejk?) There is no trace of Jan Wasielewski at all. Rozalia Blados and her sister Józefa do come up on the Geneteka database, but it is only an index - no actual record. Here is where it gets tricky and I would love some advice from those more knowledgeable out there. I have their dates of death (from the USC) and photos of their headstones so I know approximately the year they were born. Her parents were Jan Wasielewski (I have seen so many different spellings for this, so there may be variants) and Rozalia Blados. This is close to Czerwonka where her birth was registered. My grandmother was born in 1918 in Janopole (maybe spelled Janopol), Mazowieckie. I am currently ruminating about a big problem I have with my maternal grandmother's family tree and it is all based on the town she was born in. My posts are few and far between, normally in desperation when I have hit a brick wall! (A big thank you to Shellie, the person I got in touch with about my paternal grandfather's side of the family found the marriage certificate of his parents and posted it to me here in Australia, so ) ![]()
